Speed Networking is an excellent way to showcase your business and your service through a series of short, focused presentations to the other attendees at the event. The previous speed networking event that MGCA sponsored sold out and was a consensus success. This event is open to everyone in the area. Members of the MGCA as well as other local groups (Fort Washington Business Alliance, North Penn CC, Horsham CC and Contact Point Networking Group) are welcomed to attend at the member price of only $5. Non-members are only $12.

Member Spotlight Charles Marcus / Suburban Hearing Aid Center
Helping to Stop Hearing Loss and Regain Quality of Life
Hearing loss can cause you to withdraw from family or social functions, but the right technology can help turn up the volume on your quality of life. “The Suburban Hearing Aid Center in Maple Glen evaluates hearing and offers state-of-the-art aids for those with difficulty,” says Charles Marcus, owner and board-certified hearing instrument specialist. “My primary goal is to give someone a better quality of life. When something you have had your entire life is gone, you feel like you’re missing out.” Suburban offers a free consultation and hearing test to determine the best options for an individual with hearing loss. “At Suburban, we help you set goals and realistic expectations, custom-fit the hearing aid, evaluate benefits and make adjustments to the instrument as needed,” declares Marcus.
What is available today not only amplifies, but also adjusts to specific hearing loss. If your hearing falters, the digital aids can be reprogrammed to the loss. The pieces are also smaller, some basically invisible. Suburban Hearing Aid Center offers two-year warranties, free in-office service for life and free batteries for the life of the hearing aid. Suburban also works with Aetna, Keystone and some Blue Cross insurance plans. Hearing loss affects more than 29 million Americans, and individuals should have their hearing checked once a year. Suburban sees patients of all ages and some are younger than one might expect. “We live in a noise-polluted world and many people abuse their ears. People who work with a lot of noise, loud equipment, music or rifles, for example, should wear protective gear. Children who spend a lot of time in water also should consider wearing molded earpieces to protect from infections,” says Marcus.
Marcus, who previously worked with Jefferson University physicians, says he receives many thanks from his patients. “They appreciate that they can hear better and that they function at their jobs and with their families and grandchildren. They never realized what they were missing until they came to see me.” For more information about the Suburban Hearing Aid Center call 215-646-7879.
